COLUMBIA, SC — (February 14, 2023) – Charleston Realtor® Rob Woodul is the 2023 president of South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR). His term began on January 1, 2023.
As president of the 29,000 Realtor® member organization, Woodul’s goal is to focus on SCR’s strategic plan. The strategic plan is rooted in the protection of private property rights and the transfer of real property while leading the association in its role as a proponent of homeowners seeking the benefits of the American Dream. Specifically, the strategic plan will focus on advancing the association’s communication, advocacy, programming and engagement.
Rob Woodul is a Louisiana native and proud South Carolinian who has served the Charleston area as broker-in-charge of Carolina One Real Estate’s Charleston Central office since 2009. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer and broker-in-charge of Keller Williams Realty in Charleston and Mount Pleasant.
Woodul’s extensive Realtor® association involvement at the Charleston Association of REALTORS® (CTAR) includes positions such as president, president of the MLS, member of the board of directors, and member of the CHS MLS board of directors.
Rob Woodul has volunteered on various CTAR committees, task forces, and presidential advisory groups dating back to 1999. Some of them include the legislative committee, RPAC committee, candidate screening committee, strategic thinking group PAG, appraisers taskforce, diversity taskforce, and more. He was nominated as CTAR’s Residential REALTOR® of the Year in 2014.
Woodul is a 2008 graduate of SCR’s Leadership Academy (formerly LeadershipSCR). He served the association as its secretary in 2020, and has been on its board of directors since 2004. He also served on the SCR executive committee four times and was regional vice president from 2011-2013.
Woodul’s volunteer committee involvement at SCR has had a strong focus on the legislative, advocacy and legal fields. He served as the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) multiple times in various capacities since 2013. He also has served on the Legislative Group since 2018, along with the Issues Mobilization Committee and Candidate Screening Committee. He has served on the forms committee since 2001, where he has helped with updating the state’s real estate forms.
Woodul holds a designation as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), and has served on its board of directors multiple times. He also served for three years as a director of the 75 largest firms.
On a national level he has also served on the RPAC Participation Council, Large Firm Advisory Board, Broker Involvement Council, and the Cultural Diversity Committee.
Woodul has served the Charleston community in many ways. He has volunteered at the Charleston Co. Board of Zoning Appeals, Carolina One Cares, Charleston Basket Brigade, REALTORS® Housing Opportunities Fund, Lowcountry NDA, Multiple Sclerosis Society and is a Krewe of Endymion member.
