This Friday in celebration of National Homeownership Month, NAR President William E. Brown, NAR Chief Economist Dr. Lawrence Yun and Berkeley Hass Real Estate Group Chair Ken Rosen lead an impressive list of notable speakers at NAR’s Sustainable Homeownership Conference at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, California.
In addition to discussions on market trends, housing affordability and inequality, a new white paper titled, “Hurdles to Homeownership: Understanding the Barriers,” will be released to kick off the event.
The new research addresses the five reasons for the dip and idleness in the homeownership rate, its drag on the economy and what can be done to ensure more creditworthy households have the opportunity to buy a home.
