Property managers and landlords looking to minimize fair housing issues (e.g. lawsuits, federal government action, state government action, local government action, LLR action, REALTOR® ethics actions), should make reasonable accommodations for all PSAs, ESAs, SAs.

If a landlord does not want to make reasonable accommodations to these animals, call your BIC/PMIC, the hotline and recommend the landlord obtain legal counsel asap.

PSA/ESA/SA are not pets.

No pet rent/deposit/prohibition.

If PSA/ESA/SA damages property, the usual procedures are in place (e.g. security deposit, lawsuit, eviction). Ditto for PSA/ESA/SA harming persons.

You can ask if the animal is a PSA/ESA/SA.

You can ask if the animal is healthy/safe/vaccinated.

Use caution asking about disabilities/paperwork. Safest to avoid these questions and related questions to PSA/ESA/SA.
