NAR legal recently provided an easy-to-remember NAR trademark "REALTOR®" hack with:
web domains
instagram handles
& similar uses with the "@" symbol.
Always put your name in the middle between the NAR trademark and the descriptor!
You can use the NAR trademark "REALTOR®" with your name and a descriptor.
But, the NAR trademark "REALTOR®" must touch your name, and the NAR trademark "REALTOR®" cannot touch the proper descriptor.
Therefore, put your name in the middle.
Then, the NAR trademark "REALTOR®" can go first or last.
And, the proper descriptor goes in the other blank on the other side of your name.
Lowercase is fine in this situation.
Name: byron
NAR trademark: realtor
Proper descriptor: cola (I’m at the SCR offices in Columbia SC, abbreviated and nicknamed Cola).
One correct use:
@realtorbyroncola
The other correct use:
@colabyronrealtor
REALTOR® must touch your name.
REALTOR® must never touch the proper descriptor.
Incorrect uses: trademark touches descriptor, my names is not in the middle 🙁
@colarealtorbyron
@realtorcolabyron@byroncolarealtor
@byronrealtorcola
