Listing reps should alert sellers to secure all opioid drugs and painkillers and all prescription drugs at all times during the listing.
All drugs, alcohol, chemicals, poisons, etc. should be safely stored. There are sometimes children with parents who are potential buyers viewing the property.
Valuables, weapons, identity theft info, sentimental items, pilferable items should all be safely secured at all times. Secure animals and safe keep children too.
Put these items under lock and key or move to a secure location away from the listing. There have been incidents in the USA where potential buyers, inspectors, real estate licensees, others have stolen or tried to steal these items from listed properties by using the pretense of buying to access the lockbox keys.
Buyer reps should keep a watch on all persons allowed into the property during a showing with the buyer rep. Buyer reps should be alert for any doors or windows left unsecured for later entry/burglary. Buyers have agreed in the buyer rep agreement to stay with the buyer rep during all showings.
