In September, lenders will begin phasing in new standards for appraisals on GSE-conforming loans.
This will likely cause closing days, with some appraisers predicting 60 day closings in the near term as these new standards are implemented.
REALTORS® need to be alerted and educated this summer so they can warn and explain to their clients now what the closing process may look like this fall.
