The silver lining (if any) for COVID-19 is sometimes online meetings such as the below online NAR professional standards meetings and mediation meetings. In other years, you would have time and money expense to travel to the NAR conference to participate in these meetings. In 2020, these meetings are online.

Monday, November 2, Professional Standards Forum Agenda from 10 – 11 a.m. central time where we’ll be covering several hot topics including:

· discussion of the Code of Ethics’ applicability to discriminatory speech and conduct

· buyer love letters and what to remember when dealing with multiple offers

· update on virtual hearings and mediations

· discussion of local issues

· commemorating the 20th anniversary of Mediator/Mediation Training at the National Association

Additionally, you are welcome to join the Tuesday, November 10 Mediator/Ombudsman Information Exchange from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. central time, where we have a couple polls for you to share your input and where we will showcase a role play involving COVID-19 issues.

Register AND send me your NRDS ID: The only way to join either meeting, though, is to register at conference.realtor and click on “registration options”. Please register as a member or non-member when prompted, depending on your status. If you’d like a courtesy pass to attend the PS Forum and the Mediator/Ombudsman Information Exchange (and other governance meetings only) instead of registering for premier accessto the conference, please enter GOVONLYREG when promptedon the registration selection page. On the morning of the meeting, find the meeting at the virtual event platform on MeetingPlay and simply click to join the zoom meeting on that platform. Anyone who would like to join either meeting, please send me your NRDS number via email (dmosley@nar.realtor) by close of business Friday, October 23. If you don’t have a NRDS ID you can still email me by close of business Friday if you’d like to join. If we don’t have your NRDS ID by Friday, you’ll only be able to watch the meetings streamed live as opposed to take part in the actual meetings.

The Professional Standards Committee meeting is scheduled for November 2 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. central time. You’ll be able to watch that meeting streamed live but you first have to register at conference.realtor . PS Committee members who register for the conference by Friday, October 23, do not need to do anything additional to be able to join the PS Forum, the PS Committee meeting or the Mediator/Ombudsman Information Exchange.
