COLUMBIA, SC — (February 15, 2023) – Western Upstate Realtor® Reah Smith is the 2023 president elect of South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR). Her one-year term began on January 1, 2023. SCR is the largest trade association in the state and serves as the voice of real estate for more than 29,000 members involved in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate.

In her capacity as president-elect of SCR, Smith is a facilitator and team builder who actively participates in the affairs of the association while helping support the president and defending and upholding the decisions of the leadership team and the executive committee.

Smith has been a Realtor® since 2010 and a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) at Lake Keowee Real Estate since 2013. Born and raised in Seneca, South Carolina, Smith attended Seneca High School and went on to study at the University of South Carolina and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in retail.

She has served in many different roles at her local, state and national associations of Realtors®.

At the Western Upstate Association of REALTORS® (WUAR) she served as state director, as a member of the board of directors and on the RPAC committee.

At SCR, she has served on the legislative committee and was chair of that committee in 2019. She has also served on the board of directors, executive committee, diversity equity and inclusion task force, candidate screening committee, South Carolina Community Alliance, and is a RPAC trustee. In addition, she is a 2016 graduate of SCR’s prestigious Leadership Academy program (formerly LeadershipSCR). She was the 2021 treasurer of the association.

At the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Smith is a member of the public policy coordinating committee along with the resort and second home committee, the single-family investment management committee and the sustainability advisory group.
