It’s a lucrative time to sell your home
COLUMBIA, S.C. (April, 2017) — South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR) today released its April housing market data indicating that now is the time to sell a home.
New listings were down almost three percent to 10,323. Pending sales decreased 17 percent to 6,732. Inventory shrank by five percent to 33,377 units.
Prices moved higher as median sales price was up almost six percent to $185,000. Days on market has decreased almost 13 percent to 91 days. Month’s supply of inventory was down nine percent to five months, indicating that demand increased relative to supply.
"The employment and wages have improved, the economy is good and it’s a traditionally busy time for real estate. This makes it a potentially lucrative time to sell a home," said SCR CEO Nick Kremydas.
