Federal fair housing act is celebrating the 50th anniversary.
On May 16, 2018; SCR members visited the SC congressional delegation to ask for support of HR1447 to include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes in the federal law. The NAR code of ethics added sexual orientation and gender identity to the protected classes in 2009/2014. Federally protected classes are race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status…plus disability/handicap and age in some limited circumstances.
